Year 2 at Burgess Hill School for Girls enjoyed a Maths lesson with a difference on the last day of term, when they were asked to go on an Easter egg hunt!
However this hunt had a mathematical twist; over one hundred eggs were strategically placed around the classroom, with mathematical problems to test their learning throughout the term.
The girls had to decide which mathematical operations they needed to use in order to answer the various word problems and they had to choose which apparatus they may need to support them.
“It was lots of fun and we had to look really hard for some of the eggs!” said Year 2 pupil Katie King.
Beth Du Preez, also Year 2, said “We had to add, subtract, multiply and divide. We had to think very hard, but I loved it!”
