On the 28th March, thirty girls and four staff from Burgess Hill School for Girls embarked on their annual ski trip, this year to Civetta in Italy.
The party consisted of many pupils from Year 7 to Sixth Form who had never skied before to those with over 20 weeks experience.
During the day the girls skied in lessons learning new techniques and perfecting their style. The advanced group spent most of the week off-piste, developing their skills and facing conditions outside their comfort zone.

Evening activities included night skiing, a quiz, mini Olympic games and an ice cream night. These activities brought competition among everyone as prizes were to be awarded.
At the end of the week there was a presentation of prizes awarded and these included "Wipeout of the Week", "Star of the Week" and "Best Skier2 within each group. These went alongside two awards which were presented at the end of each day to pupils who had been kind and helpful and to those who had done something silly like losing a ski on the chairlift!

After a busy and tiring week, everyone had new friends and learned new things. The girls would like to thank the staff for taking them and making the week so enjoyable.
