On 9th March, Year 1 visited St John's church and were shown around by members of the parish council. They enjoyed looking around the church and particularly liked the special robes the vicar wears for different occasions in the church calendar. Emily Ash in Year 1 wrote this report.
We went to St John's church today. We sat down on the pews. St John's church is beautiful. But most of all I loved St John's stained glass windows. We learned all about churches. The church is 104 years old. We saw the font. The man rang the bell. We drew some things in the church. I liked the clothes which the vicar wears. Then we went back to school.
