On 6th March, we had a Games evening based on the Olympics which was organised by Miss Champion and the Gap assistants helped out.
There were six countries which were France, China, Russia, Australia, Switzerland and America. I was in Russia.
We started off making paper aeroplanes. My paper aeroplanes flew straight to the wall, but I thought it was the furthest one from our 'country'. The second game was 'shotput with cotton wool'. After that we had 'eating dry crackers' and Rebecca Lo ate really quick! Next we had a game which was pushing a matchbox along the floor with our nose. The person who took the first place in this game was Ester, she was quite fast!
And we had 'javelin' which means throwing straws. Then we had 'discus with paper plates'. Next we had a game which I thought was the most disgusting one. We had to place a marshmallow in our mouth and see who could spit it the furthest! We got a team quiz as well. We had to go through hoops, skipping, jumping with balloons and saving a goal through basketball hoops. The last quiz was 'questions about the Olympics'. We added 10 points from it and we won the 'Olympics'.
At the end we had a ceremony, Miss Champion gave us the prizes. We got medals and the prizes were Easter eggs.
We took photos as well. I thought they will look very nice. This evening was an interesting evening. We all enjoyed our 'Olympics' very much. We are looking forward to seeing the real Olympics which will be held in London in 2012.
