On the 27th February all of Years 8 to 10 boarders went either ice-skating or bowling in the Spectrum Centre.
It was the first time I had ever been ice-skating and the first time I got out there to skate I slipped and fell! But I got up and grabbed hold of the edges around the ice rink. It was very crowded around the ice rink; many people were skating fast on their ice skates which was a little bit scary.
One of the Gap assistants called Rachel helped me to balance myself on my ice-skates. After a while I got the hang of it and I could skate on my own without touching the edges around the ice rink. It was pretty cool even though I started off a little bit wobbly at first!
I was really happy that I finally learned how to skate. Then it was time to go; some people say time goes quickly when you are having fun! All of us had a very good time.
