From the 10th to 14th of May, class 7D from Burgess Hill School for Girls operated a car wash service to raise money for the School's charities, which include Missing People and the Quicken Trust.
Every year, form classes try to raise as much money as possible for the benefit of others. These are worthwhile charities that the school loves to support.
The girls supplied all the equipment and they also organised a rota for the car wash, so as to give everyone a chance to wash as many cars as they could. There were about 25 cars that wanted (and needed!) a wash and the girls had great fun making them as spotless and polished as possible. Many of the staff who got their cars washed complimented 7D cheerfully as they saw their newly shampooed, sponged and rinsed down cars.
Georgia Fuller said, "The car wash was heaps of fun - which I didnt expect! I also like the thought that I had fun for charity; not just for myself."
Overall, the car wash was a big hit! All the staff and Sixth Formers were extremely enthusiastic and gave the girls the boost they needed to make the car wash a great charity event.
