The International supper is an annual event within the Burgess Hill Boarding community. It provides an opportunity for the girls to showcase both their musical and performing talents.
This year's performances were based on the theme 'The House of...' and were judged by Head of Music, Mr Richard Haslam, and Speech and Drama teacher, Miss Juliette Hammond.
The Avondale boarding house girls based their performance on 'The House of Games', which explored whether one person can break fate and change the world. They performed some wonderfully choreographed sword fighting scenes in full medieval costumes.
The Silverdale East girls called their performance 'The House of Photography' about a young photographer, Christopher, whose career is just taking off, and a young woman, Faustina, who is due to wed her fianc when the recession hits. The group produced a professional looking programme to accompany their play and Ivy Ho was commended by the judges for her acting skills playing Christopher.
Silverdale West performed a drama called 'The House of no Return' which follows a scientist, Jamie, on his 30 year project to build a time machine so that he can travel back in time to find out who murdered his wife Allie. The girls' moving performance and clever plot won them this year's trophy.
