The rounders teams at Burgess Hill School for Girls have won all their recent Championships events this season.
The Year 7 team took part in the West Sussex tournament at Warden Park on Wednesday 30th June. They played an outstanding game, demonstrating excellent skills when fielding and batting. In the group stages they won convincingly to progress to the semi-final where they beat Farlington. This gained them a place in the final against Sackville. The Burgess Hill team won 10 - 4 to become the U12 West Sussex Champions.
The Year 8 rounders team took part in the West Sussex tournament at Hazelwick School, Crawley where 15 teams competed. In the semi-final the girls batted superbly to overcome St Pauls Catholic College (Burgess Hill) by 13 rounders to 4 which gained them a place in the final against Millais. They won the final to become West Sussex Champions.
