Burgess Hill School for Girls are thrilled that Richard Moses, their Estates Manager, has made it through to the 2nd round of the World Indoor Singles Bowling Championships which are taking place in Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk from 8th -28th January.
In the first round on Sunday 14th January, Richard took on Jamie Hill, a New Zealand International and Commonwealth games player and seeded number 20 in the world, and won 2 sets to 0 with results of 12-4 and 9-5. He now goes on to play Paul Foster from Scotland, seeded number 5,in the 2nd round on Wednesday 17th January.
Ann Aughwane, Headmistress said, “Richard is known for being calm under pressure, an attribute we hope will be useful to him on Wednesday. We will all be glued to the television when his next match is on and hope all goes well for him.”
Richard has worked at the School for 11 years and his role includes overseeing the current new building works. He has been bowling for 20 years and is a former England player.
