On Wednesday 7th February the entire Junior School at Burgess Hill School for Girls had a taster session in golf, with Neil Plimmer and Sam Cairns from the Mid Sussex Golf Course as their coaches. There was a mixture of expertise, from those girls with previous experience, to those girls for whom it was a completely new activity, but every girl had a go at putting, chipping and hitting to targets and saw their level improving.
The session provided a fun, informative and valuable taste of what the game of golf is all about. In addition, the girls have been offered the opportunity to attend ‘Girls Only’ coaching sessions at Mid Sussex Golf Course from 2.15-3.15pm every other Saturday.
