The Infant classes from Burgess Hill School for Girls took part in a very successful 'Book Week' from 12th - 16th February, with the girls enjoying a wide range of activities on the theme of 'Patterns'.
The week included setting up and running a second hand book sale, visiting Burgess Hill Library, exploring patterns in drama and art, and wearing an array of different patterned clothes to school on Tuesday. The highlight of the week was the interactive workshop on Wednesday by Nick Sharratt, the children's author and illustrator. The girls were very amused by his stories and drawings and very interested to find out how he uses pattern to great effect in both his stories and his illustrations.
