Spring came early on Saturday 3rd March at Burgess Hill School for Girls when girls aged 10 to 11 from other local Junior Schools were invited to take part in a Textiles Workshop, where they were able to design and make a colourful butterfly. For many this was their first introduction to using the sewing machine. They had great fun printing the fabric and then machining the patterns onto the wings. The course was led by Barbara Bradley, the teacher responsible for teaching Textiles at the school, who was very impressed with the work created by the girls.
