Burgess Hill School for Girls U13 Hockey team took part in the Windlesham House 7 -a- side Hockey tournament on Tuesday 6th March. Twelve schools from all over Sussex were competing and the Burgess Hill girls played some excellent hockey throughout the tournament.  In the group stage they beat Highfields 2-0, Brighton College B  5-0, Windlesham House A  5-0, Prebendal 3-0 and St Mary’s Hall  2-0 which took them through as winners of their section and they then advanced to the semi finals.  Here they drew Brighton College A who they beat convincingly 3-0 to gain a place in the final.  They continued to play well as a cohesive team and the girls beat Highfields in the final by 2 goals to 0 to become the champions.  The girls played seven games, scored 22 goals and conceded 0.  An outstanding achievement.  Pictured are the winning team!
