The Onatti Theatre Company visited Burgess Hill School for Girls for a second time to perform their play 'Primera Cita'.  The play was performed in Spanish with Spanish actors and followed the exploits of two nervous but very engaging teenagers who were preparing to go out on a 'First Date' in a highly amusing way. On a colourful stage which represented the teenagers’ contrasting rooms the absorbing drama of the date from the first hesitant contact by mobile phone to the final choice of clothes and make-up was vividly portrayed.

The audience, the numerous Burgess Hill School students of Spanish aged between 13 and 16, responded well to the romantic theme.  One of the girls commented that she was, "So absorbed in the play that I actually forgot that it was in Spanish and just got caught up in the awkward comedy of it all."
