The Sixth Form at the Burgess Hill School for Girls held an overnight sponsored sleepover in aid of charity. Thirty eight students from all over Sussex returned to school with sleeping bags mats pillows and teddy bears to spend a night on the floor of the Junior School hall. The floor was hard and the temperature dropped but they kept themselves entertained with a big screen movie. After a hot chocolate drink they settled down to sleep knowing that every hour they slept was sponsored by relatives and friends. Much to the surprise of staff, the students had to be woken at 7.00am with strong sweet tea before they returned home for some good old fashioned TLC over the weekend. The event raised some £200 supporting the Crisis Christmas appeal which helps homeless people at this difficult time of year.
