On Monday 3rd October, the Burgess Hill School for Girls Junior and Intermediate Cross Country teams competed in the first round of the National Schools' Cross Country Cup at Ardingly.
There were 20 schools from across Kent and Sussex competing in each age group. The course was quite demanding taking the girls across fields, up hills and through woods but they all ran extremely well, achieving the following results:
Intermediate team

Olivia Harding - 25th
Scarlett Scotland - 26th
Tilly Loughton - 31st
Junior Team

The Intermediate team finished in 5th place overall and the junior team finished in 3rd place. The junior team will now go through to compete in the Regional Finals.
Congratulations to all the girls who ran but in particular to Rebecca Chee for another very impressive performance!
