Eighty Two pupils from Burgess Hill School for Girls entered this year’s United Kingdom Mathematical Trust Intermediate Mathematical Challenge in February. Over 200,000 students entered this competition from schools all over the country. The girls, from years 9, 10 and 11 gained a very commendable 10 Gold, 26 Silver and 18 Bronze certificates.
Four girls also did so well that they were selected to enter the European Kangaroo Competition for their age group. This is an advanced Mathematics competition which took place in over 25 European countries on March 15th.
