On April 26-27th Year 4 from Burgess Hill School for Girls went on a two-day trip to Juniper Hall. They did many exciting activities like small mammal trapping for voles and wood mice and river dipping for invertebrates (in the rain!) They also had a treasure hunt and took turns using compasses to lead the way to the hidden treasure! They had a brilliant minibeast hunt in a wood and found snails, worms, spiders, centipedes and millions of other creepy crawlies! As it was raining they could not go on the night walk but instead they held a mini Olympics followed by a mug of delicious hot chocolate! They had a fabulous time in their dormitories with their friends having a great sleepover! They may have been the only wet, rainy and miserable days in April….but it did not spoil the fun!
