A small group of Year 8 girls from Burgess Hill School for Girls joined students at St Paul's Catholic College on Thursday 3rd May to take part in a Lighting Workshop. The event was run by ‘Spice’, an organisation who host Design & Technology workshops for students and teachers.  The girls had the task of designing their concept without sketching first, but rather through exploring sculptural forms using the thin sheet plastic; polypropylene.  They went on to produce a prototype for a lighting solution. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was a good opportunity to meet other students and design in a very spontaneous manner.
