Twenty-five of the trees in the grounds at Burgess Hill School for Girls have been planted by former Head Girls, a tradition which was continued at a special outside assembly on Wednesday 16th May.
The Head Girl for this past academic year, along with the help of her fellow School Officers, planted a ‘Metasequoia glybtostroboides’ tree at the front of the School in what was an emotional occasion as last official duty as Head Girl.
It is also traditional at this assembly to announce the School Officers for the next Academic Year. It was very sad to say goodbye to the former team but the School has every confidence that the new Officers will live up to the high standard they have set.
