Jane Lavender and Emma Gibson from Burgess Hill School for Girls recently took part in the Sussex Pairs Tennis Tournament, held at St Bede’s School. There were ten schools competing and the girls were in excellent form. In the group stage Jane and Emma won all their games beating St Bede’s, Mayfield, Moira House and Towers to advance to the semi-finals. There they played Eastbourne College, losing just two games in the whole match. In the final they played Moira House and continued to play some excellent tennis beating them 2 sets to 0. The girls played six matches in total, winning eighty games and conceding only four to become the Sussex U15 Pairs Champions.
