Isabelle Gibson and Madeleine Jupp were flying the flag for Burgess Hill School for Girls at the Sussex Pairs Tennis Championships held at St Bede’s school. The girls were in fine form beating St Bede’s ‘B’, Steyning, Windlesham House ‘B’, Mayfield and Dorothy Stringer in the group stage to advance to the semi-finals. They continued to play some excellent attacking tennis to comfortably beat St Bede’s ‘A’ 2 sets to 0. Meanwhile the second pair of Ciara Seabrook and Claudia James were playing some great tennis, advancing to the final quite comfortably. An all Burgess Hill School final represents the strength and depth of the School’s tennis programme, and Isabelle and Madeleine won 2 matches to 0 to become the Sussex Pairs Champions.
