Burgess Hill School for Girls’ U12 Netball side took part in a friendly tournament held at Downlands school.  This was the girls’ first tournament and they played some excellent netball throughout the afternoon.  In the group stage they beat Sackville 7-2, Downlands 7-0, Oathall 11-0 and Imberhorne 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals.  Here they played a strong St Paul’s side, but the girls held their nerve and won 4-1 to gain a place in the final.  The girls rose to the challenge of playing their first final and again beat Sackville by 7 goals to 1 to become the champions.  An excellent team effort!
