The Burgess Hill School for Girls U16 Netball team represented Sussex at the South East Round of the National Schools Netball Tournament held in High Wycombe.  The standard of play was very high and the girls played some excellent netball throughout the day.  In rainy conditions, the girls passed the ball with speed and accuracy and were linking well as a team.  In the group stage they beat Ryde School 13-3, Headington 6-4, Royal Latin School 10-2, Kennetts School 10-1, drew with King Edward VI school 8-8 and lost their final game 14-4 to a very strong Beaconsfield.  This put the girls in third place in their pool just one point away from a play off place to reach the national finals.  An excellent achievement.
