The students of Burgess Hill School for Girls and Worth School combined in a memorable concert to open their annual Arts Festival; this year the theme is ‘Revolution’.  The programme opened with an exciting and exhilarating performance of the Weber Clarinet Concerto No. 1 in F Minor with soloist Natasha Best.  Natasha is an Upper Sixth student at Burgess Hill School for Girls and is a pupil of Steve Dummer.  She is principal clarinet of the Brighton Youth Orchestra and is hoping to go on to study Music at York University.  The students of both schools then combined for a performance of Haydn’s Nelson Mass with professional orchestra and soloists and gave a splendid performance which will live in the minds of those who were lucky enough to hear it for some time to come. The festival continues this week with a production of Les Misérables (School Edition) which will take place in the Croft Hall at Burgess Hill School. Natasha is playing the part of older Cosette so it is a very busy week for this talented pupil.
