Burgess Hill School athletes continued their impressive form on the track, by dominating the field in the Mid Sussex Athletics Competition, held at Broadbridge Heath. The top two athletes from each event go on to represent Mid Sussex at the Sussex School Championships at the K2 Stadium, Crawley in June.
The girls clocked some very fast times on the track and also gained some excellent distances in the field events. Ten girls gained a top two placing and will represent Mid Sussex this month. They are Ciara Seabrook – 200m, India Coker – Long Jump, Charlotte Frost - 80m Hurdles and Relay, Yasmin Rashid – 100m and Relay, Hannah Jag-Nathan - Javelin, Olivia Condie – 800m and Relay, Lizzie Lynch – Relay and Imogen Bowers – Shot Putt.
Overall the girls finished in first place, four points ahead of Hurst, to take the title. An excellent team effort!
