Senior School pupils at Burgess Hill School for Girls dressed up for the day as the characters from the well-known Disney “High School Musical” movies in order to raise funds for Shella. Shella is a 14 year old orphan girl from Kabubbu Community Primary School in Uganda. Individual year groups had the opportunity to practise their entrepreneurial skills in order to raise more funds, for example, Year 7 boosted the School’s efforts by selling popcorn and cocktail umbrellas; they raised an extra £70! High five to that!
In total, the Senior School pupils raised £276.11 towards Shella’s boarding and school fees, learning materials and uniform. Any additional monies will be donated to Shella’s family in Uganda.
