Burgess Hill School for Girls were one of 12 schools who took part in the Cross Country North Sussex round at Ardingly College on Tuesday 28th November. All four age groups from Burgess Hill School for Girls ran extremely well but a special mention goes to the Year 8 and Year 9 team who gained 1st place, and especially the Year 8 team who showed some superb long-distance running and won by a staggering 40 point margin.

The girls are now waiting to hear how many of them have been selected to represent the North area at the next round in Stanmer Park next term. The judges from the last match will choose the top 20 runners from each age group and it expected that following this successful round Burgess Hill School for Girls will have a very good representation there.
