A whole day immersed in being Circuit Detectives and developing their Control Technology skills with ‘SETPOINT’, an educational provider from the University of Brighton, had the girls in Year 6 at Burgess Hill School for girls sparking off each other with their ideas and discoveries. Gill Emerson from SETPOINT provided information and tasks for the girls to complete. ‘This is really exciting’, enthused Jessica Houston as she devised a procedure for controlling her car park barrier.
This experience was part of the Y6 Science coursework to enliven the girls’ experience with control technology and electrical circuits. SETPOINT provides educational support to schools throughout East and West Sussex and works in partnership with schools, businesses and other organisations to enhance the delivery of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) curricula at all key stages, SETPOINT also aim to improve achievement in these subjects.
