The Burgess Hill School School for Girls' U12 Rounders' team took part in the West Sussex Tournament held at Oathall School last week. Twelve other schools took part in the competition and the girls were in fine form, batting with power and fielding with speed and agility. In the group stage they beat: Hazelwick (12 - 1), Imberhorne (9 - 2) and Thomas Bennett (14 - 2), to gain a place in the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, they played Millais School; the girls rose to the occasion once again to run out a comfortable win by 9 rounders to 2 to advance on to the finals. The girls continued their impressive form to overcome Christ Hospital by 9 rounders to 3  and become West Sussex Champions. Well done!
