On the 17th June 2008, my Year 9 class and I went out on a very enjoyable and exhilarating trip. With great enthusiasm we set off to Ditchling Common for a combined Geography and Maths fieldwork day. We were shown a range of equipment we would use and were split into groups of three or four. With huge excitement we set off to work.
My team, which consisted of Emilie Brammer, Bronte Johnston and me, found testing the PH Scale, infiltration rate and the angle of the slope, amongst many other experiments, very educational but at the same time loads of fun. We didn’t realize how much fun running through the huge field to complete all ten challenges within a time limit could be. This investigation would help us with our end of term project. On our return to our School we were thoroughly worn out and yet at the same time full of energy to do more.
