The Music Scholars of Burgess Hill School for Girls provided a feast of music at the Centenary Concert given on 17th October 2006 in the Croft Hall. There was a wide mix of music from Telemann through to 20th Century jazz from both soloists and ensemble groups.
There were many musical highlights but ones that particularly stay in the mind are the Chamber Septet playing the Scherzo and Trio by Schubert and the performance of Bach’s Concerto in D minor for two violins with two soloists accompanied by the Senior String Ensemble.
An evening to remember as the School celebrates its Centenary in 2006.
