In September and October Burgess Hill School for Girls U13 and U15 Tennis teams successfully represented Sussex at the knockout stages of the Nestlé Schools Tennis Competition. They will now go forward to represent the South East Region at the National Quarter Finals stages to be held at Gosling Sports Park, Hertfordshire on Tuesday 21st November.
Back in July, both age groups comfortably won the Sussex round which placed them in the well-deserved position of representing the whole of Sussex in the knockout stages of this national competition. The match results from that stage ended with the U13 team beating Ursuline School in Wimbledon 5 matches to 1, and Benenden School, Kent 4 matches to 2. The U15 team had convincing wins over St George’s, Weybridge with a final score of 5 matches to 1, and Tunbridge Wells Grammar School 6 matches to 0.
