On Sunday 8th March 2009, Burgess Hill School for Girls U11s became the Sussex County Girls' Mini Hockey Champions. The Burgess Hill girls remained unbeaten throughout the competition and beat a good St Andrew's side 1-0 in the final. The team now goes on to represent Sussex in the Regional Round of the competition at Surbiton Hockey Club in April.
