For the boarders, the new term started with a camping trip which aimed to challenge the girls and help them form new friendships.
On the morning of Saturday 12th of September, the boarders, along with several staff members, enjoyed a delicious brunch at school before travelling to Hindleap Warren Outdoor Centre in Forest Row, East Sussex.
On arrival the girls were launched into a number of different logistical group challenges, and many faced their fears on the high wire activities. The day was a success as new bonds were formed, old friendships were strengthened and the new boarders were welcomed into the community.
The afternoon was filled with an environmental art challenge. The girls were then treated to a Chinese takeaway for dinner. There was plenty to go around and no one had ever seen quite so many prawn crackers in one place!
After a quiz, some singing and sitting around the camp fire, everyone was eventually tired enough to sleep through the chilly night. Although only short, the camping trip was challenging, fun and a promising taster for future boarding trips.
