Parents of children at Burgess Hill School for Girls were invited to “drop in after drop off” to the school dining hall to support the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
On Thursday 24th September, the teachers bypassed the staffroom to join parents for a chat with tea, coffee and homemade cakes. The charity event was organised by the Friends of the School and raised £110 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The UK charity aims to improve the lives of people living with cancer by giving suffers, their families and carers emotional support and information throughout the duration of their illness. The charity also gives grants to patients who need financial help and provides practical support through Macmillan nurses and specialist health care professionals.
