Senior citizens packed Croft Hall at Burgess Hill School for Girls for the annual Christmas party on Monday 14th December.
Guests were served tea and mince pies and enjoyed pulling crackers with friends and the students.
Year 11 took to the stage to sing, dance, play musical instruments and perform short dramas which delighted the guests. Many of the senior citizens joined in as the girls sang songs reminiscent of their own teenage years.
Headmistress Ann Aughwane thanked the guests for their continued support of the school and the girls for their hard work in putting on the event.
The senior citizens were given Christmas party bags as they left the event, which included wooden Christmas decorations that had been hand painted by the girls in a special festive themed art lesson.
The next Senior Citizens’ Tea Party will be held at the School in July with tickets available free from the Burgess Hill Help Point and Burgess Hill Age Concern.
