We continue to broaden and strengthen our partnership with local schools and with schools abroad.

The recent Drama production of Cabaret was an inspirational success! Girls from Yr 10 - U6 and students from Sussex Central College worked together for six months to produce a show that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. In what felt like a West End theatre, with a club atmosphere and jazzy decor, a packed audience was treated to a professional performance that displayed sophistication, great humour and much excitement! A great time was definitely had by all.

We continue to host events that bring benefit to students of all ages and we are pleased to welcome the many participants from all local schools. The School, with support from Park Cameras and Porsche Mid-Sussex, has provided a high quality series of Careers Conferences aimed at inspiring young women. The three conferences; 'Move into the fast Lane, Working Together as One' and 'Pushing your Boundaries' have provided opportunities for over 100 girls from local schools and Burgess Hill to work together on challenging tasks, develop leadership skills and think about where they see themselves in ten years time. The over arching theme is encouraging girls to aim high!

Our annual Oxbridge Taster day in November is another opportunity for local schools to share in seminars and workshops provided by staff and students from Oxford and Cambridge University. This event continues to be a success with local schools booking places for their high achieving students.

We continue to host sporting master classes for all ages and provide student support to run local tournaments for Primary Schools. In a new initiative in the summer we supported an RS project with local Primary schools from Cowfold and surrounding villages, Millais Senior School in Horsham and girls from Burgess Hill School Junior School also taking part. The project involved textiles workhops held at Burgess Hill School on the theme 'Journeys'.  The final project was presented in June at Millais Schoool and opened by the Bishop of Horsham.

We are extremely happy to be able to announce our first student exchange to the Gold Coast in Australia this summer and hope this is the start of a great partnership for the future. This certainly complements our long standing exchange partnerships in Abbeville, France and Caceres, Spain.

We pride ourselves on our 'can do attitude' and believe that every opportunity we pursue or provide is of value to the girls both from Burgess Hill and local schools. We continue to look for new initiatives whilst maintaining our already well established links.

Other events where we have joined with other schools are too numerous to mention but include:

Textiles Workshops (Yr 6)

Maths in Action day (Yr 6/7)

Maths Leadership Award Programme (Yr 8)

Visiting Authors; e.g Caroline Lawrence (Yr 5/6/7/8)

Performing Arts Workshops (Yr 5)

Kite Making Workshops (Yr 5)

Mini-Chef Workshop (Yr 4)

Enterprise Day (Yr 8)
