What a performance!

Nursery Carols

The Burgess Hill School Nursery children were absolutely outstanding in the nativity play that they performed to their parents on Thursday 14th December. Some of the Wrens and Swallows children dressed up as angels, animals or characters, whilst others were little choristers who wore ruffles and carried the lanterns that they had made. The children sang different Christmas songs including 'Here we go up to Bethlehem' and 'Sing a song of shepherds'. They also sang and signed to 'Silent Night'. Helen Tsang from the Lower Sixth of Burgess Hill School for Girls played the piano to accompany the children's wonderful singing. The children really enjoyed themselves and received rapturous applause at the end of the performance.

Father Christmas & Rainbow Bigbottom!

Father Christmas visits the Nursery

The girls and boys from Burgess Hill School Nursery enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Party on Friday 8th December. They were first treated to a visit from Father Christmas and each visited his grotto to receive a special present, and then went on to be entertained by Rainbow Bigbottom with magic, party games and singing. All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and much fun was had by all.

Pedal Power

Wrens and Swallows turned to 'pedal power', doing a sponsored circuit around the playground on bicycles to raise money for the 'Childline' charity.
The WSCC Road Safety Adviser visited the Nursery and spoke to the children about stopping, looking and listening at the kerb.
The Nursery summer outing was to Drusillas Zoo - parents, children and staff met at the zoo for a picnic.

Nursery Sports

outdoor sports activity

Both Wrens and Swallows participated very enthusiastically in our sports events. They were all involved in some 'races', and the Wrens did a parachute and circuit display for parents. The Swallows children did various PE demonstrations.
