Bursaries

A fund is set aside each year to provide financial help for those in need.

A bursary does not take account of academic standard but is means tested and the value of a bursary is related to the income and financial resources of the pupil's family. The maximum value of the bursary can be full published fees, but will normally be between 10% and 20%.

Most bursaries will be awarded to girls from families with a total income of less than £30,000 per annum and with no capital assets other than their home. It is most unlikely that a bursary would be awarded to a family whose gross income is more than £60,000 per annum with a single child at the School.

Bursaries are subject to annual review and their continuation is dependent on a review of the family's financial situation and the pupil achieving the school's normal standards of behaviour and endeavour.

Information submitted is totally confidential and only seen by the Head, Bursar and one Governor who form the Bursary Committee. This sits whenever there is the necessity. The Old Girls' Fund and Sixth Form awards help those unable to continue their education at the School without funding.

For further information and a Bursary application form, please contact the Bursar via the Registrar.
