Boarding At Burgess Hill School for Girls, we recognise the additional challenges students face when working in a second language. Therefore, we aim to ensure that your daughter’s language needs are fully provided for from the outset.
When your daughter arrives at School she will be individually assessed by our EAL teacher; this assessment provides further insight into your daughter’s current level of proficiency and is the foundation upon which an individual programme of support is designed.
A tailor-made programme will aim to improve your daughter’s grasp of language and ensure that she is fully qualified for study at degree level in the United Kingdom, if she so chooses.
Your daughter will follow one of several possible routes through her English study, depending on the age at which she arrives at School and her level of proficiency.
