First A Level Group


For the first time girls at the Burgess Hill School for Girls are studying Graphics with Materials Technology at advanced level.This new and exciting course started this September and brings the total number of A level subject offered to twenty four. The students are learning about the world of Product Design have begun work on individual projects ranging from the design of new shop fronts, the redesign of the local cinema and the design of a new beer bottle for a Lewes brewery. Teacher Paul Burbidge, said, ‘I am delighted that the girls now have the opportunity to study Graphics with Materials Technology to an Advanced level. It represents a natural progression from excellent GCSE results achieved by the D&T: Graphic Products pupils over the last few years with the majority of them achieving A* or A grades.’
