OGA Cake and Break

On Friday 4th May 2007 Burgess Hill School for Girls held a special presentation for the Year 11 and Upper Sixth girls, where they were encouraged to become active members of the Old Girls' Association by Katharine Ruff, a 1995 leaver, who is now Hon. Secretary of the OGA. Members of the Association help to organize various events where past pupils can meet up again, such as last year's Centenary Ball and Reunion BBQ.

This award is given to a member of the Upper Sixth each year and the letters of nomination come from within the Sixth Form.  This award is primarily for someone whose caring and supportive contribution to the School community has been much valued by her peer group.  On announcing the winner, Max McAllister, Head of the Sixth Form read out some of the commendations received from the winner's fellow students.
