Junior News Year 1 at Burgess Hill School for Girls entertained their parents and the rest of the school with their colourful Chinese New Year Assembly. This was particularly appropriate as it fell in the middle of the Junior School’s Book Week with its theme ‘Around the World in Five days’. Dressed in costumes from all over the globe, the girls explained some of the traditions and showed the Chinese lanterns, dragons and decorations that they had made. They then performed a play which showed how the twelve animal years were chosen.
