French Exchange

Earlier this month a group of 42 Year 8 pupils and 5 staff members from Burgess Hill School for Girls set off for Ambrières in Southern Normandy. The group participated in numerous activities including a visit to a bakery where the girls made croissants, a visit to a dairy farm where they helped to churn butter, a visit to a local market where they bought ingredients for lunch and a visit to the Bayeux tapestry en route home. In each case the girls were encouraged to use their French. Post cards were bought and sent home and a diary for the week was kept. All returned tired but happy!
