As with any vital organisation, Burgess Hill School is always developing to meet the demands and expectations of an ever changing society.

 

INFANT CLASSES We are entering an exciting phase in the School's development: the new Infant and Nursery building is under construction and planned to be ready for September 2008.

 

OAKS HALL with stage lighting, sound system, kitchen, toilets.

 

MUSIC ROOM Fully equipped with wide variety of instruments, Interactive Whiteboards and electronic keyboards for composition. Adjacent PRACTICE ROOM.

 

COMPUTER ROOM 20 networked PCs with Internet access. Networked computers with Intenet access in classrooms from Reception to Year 6. Interactive whiteboards in all classrooms.

 

PHYSICAL EDUCATION Shared use of all PE facilities, including playing fields, astro turf, netball & tennis courts. Use of Triangle Sports Centre for Swimming each week for Year 1 - 4.

 

Gym

 

SCIENCE/TECHNOLOGY ROOM. Well equipped to meet the demands of the Science and Technology National Curriculum. Use of Senior School facilities if needed.

 

ART ROOM

 

LIBRARIES Infant and Junior Libraries - fiction and non-fiction. Class fiction libraries in many classrooms.

 

RECREATION Attractive, interesting play areas which include a wooden activity trail.

 

DRAMA Use of Senior School stage for major productions and concerts. Infant and smaller productions take place in Oaks Hall with its own well equipped sound and lighting box, using portable staging units.

 

JUNIOR CLASSROOMS Bright spacious and well equipped rooms. Individual pupils enjoy having their own desks from Year 3 to Year 6.

 

FOOD TECHNOLOGY Well equipped kitchen.
